Arrival Day Nairobi
Accommodation: a City Hotel

Karibu Kenya! Kenya is a golden land of adventure and splendor, appropriately crowned "God's Country" rich in wealth of its contrasts, its landscapes, its cultures and the warm welcome it extends to all its guests and visitors. Just like the story of Kenya, your safari starts in Nairobi - the only city in the world with a natural game park with over 100 species of mammals. We are delighted to be your hosts!

Day 1 Mt. Kenya
Accommodation: Old Moses Hut (3,300m)

THE PHYSICAL CHALLENGE: 3 nights/ 4 days up and down Sirimon route await you - a gradual trek to the summit, traversing areas of rich forests before emerging into the moorlands. This hike is usually rated the easiest among the short treks and is quite popular with people attempting to reach an altitude exceeding 4000m for the first time.

Day 2 Mt. Kenya
Accommodation: Shiptons Hut (4,200m)

Traverse the expansive moorlands carpeted with tussock grasses and dotted with the unique giant lobelia and senecio plants. Enjoy the crossing of streams and valleys through the Matinda valley with good views of the main peaks.

Day 3 Mt. Kenya
Accommodation: Old Moses Hut (3,300m)

Pre-down attempt of the summit starts at 3 am, taking 3-4 hours to reach Pt. Lenana (4,985m) which is the hikers summit - arriving in time to watch the sunrise. Descend back to Shiptons Hut for breakfast. Continue descending to the Old Moses Hut for a celebration and overnight stay.

Day 4 Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Accommodation: Sweetwaters Tented Camp

Early morning pick-up by mountain trucks from Old Moses Hut and transfer to the base lodge for a hot breakfast. Re-unite with your safari driver guides and proceed to the nearby Ol Pejeta Conservancy. This afternoon you will visit the Chimps and Rhino Sanctuary. Experience an amazing night game drive!

Day 5 Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Accommodation: Sweetwaters Tented Camp

THE COMMUNITY CHALLENGE: A call to action for conservation with once-in-a-lifetime 'behind the scenes' opportunities to actively participate in critical conservation activities. Come face to face with red-list globally endangered species including the only three remaining Northern white rhinos. Participate in scientific Lion tracking. Today you will volunteer with hands-on activities at the Ol Pejeta research center.

day-6
Day 6 Nairobi
Accommodation: a City Hotel

Return to Nairobi arriving by noon. This afternoon you will visit a social-cause charity in the outskirts of Nairobi. You will have a chance to participate in project construction that you are supporting.

day-7-8
Day 7 & 8 Rural Maasai Land
Accommodation: Safari Bush Camp

THE CULTURAL CHALLENGE: Today you will visit rural Maasai land in Southern Kenya. Your local hosts are the indigenous Maasai of this area. Enjoy two days of rich wildlife and exciting interactive, cultural experiences - exclusively guided by our local Maasai hosts. We seek to respectfully challenge the worldview of stereotypes and binary ideas about who the Maasai people are as they tell you their real-life story.

Day 9 Amboseli National Park
Accommodation: Safari Lodge

Drive into the Amboseli National Park. Enjoy a game drive on the way to the lodge and the majestic views of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro - Africa's highest mountain, aptly called "The Roof Of Africa". Today you will have a celebratory evening with dinner under the African stars and a nostalgic safari bonfire. You have successfully completed the challenge and congratulations are in order!

Departure Day Amboseli National Park - Nairobi

Morning at leisure. Return to Nairobi in the early afternoon and transfer directly to the airport for your homebound departure. Optional private extensions to the beautiful Kenyan Coast for a well-deserved relaxing holiday by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.
